Mark Ikerd is a true local, having lived in Hickory his whole life. His life as a believer began on Easter Sunday in 1995, and he was baptized on Super Bowl Sunday the following year (Cowboys vs. Steelers). He and his wife, Jackie, have been married twenty-eight years and have four children: Hayden, Jeslea, Luke, and Ella. They joined HBC in 2014 when Mark’s background in ministry and construction opened a door for him to be involved with the church’s transition into a new building. He now serves at HBC as the Associate Pastor over Care. He most enjoys serving in a church that is grounded in God’s Word. His favorite verse is II Corinthians 5:17, and he loves both I and II Samuel.
