James Voudouris was born in Toledo, OH and grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, but is Greek at heart. He has three grown daughters and one grandson, Calix, who can be seen with James (his Papou) many Sunday mornings. James earned a degree in Hospitality Service Administration from Central Michigan University and worked in restaurant management for several years. He became a believer in 1992, was baptized shortly after, and eventually made his way to North Carolina and Hickory Bible Church in 2005. He volunteers with Student Ministry each week, and his favorite part of being at the church is getting to share the love of Christ with them. His favorite Bible verse is James 1:22 (no name bias towards the author), and his favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians.
